Targeted approach to dyslexia
Does your school have students with dyslexia that are falling behind, especially in reading and spelling?
Do you have staff that are unsure of how to best support students with dyslexia?
Dyslexia is estimated to affect 10% of the Australian population, this is a conservative estimate as many individuals are left undiagnosed.
Tutoring
I provide 1-1 or 1-2 tutoring in school to increase reading and spelling levels using the Playberry multi-sensory program. The tutoring can be school funded, parent funded or a combination of the two. A minimum of 3 tutoring session in a day are required for in school tutoring.
Staff professional learning
I provide staff with a deeper understanding of dyslexia and identify best practice when providing emotional and educational support. Training can be provided to whole staff or smaller focus groups. In collaboration with the school, programs can be tailor made to suit the school's unique needs and circumstances.
